Terms of Use

1. A free game, in beta

• The game is free: no price, no ads and no in-app purchases.
• There is no real money anywhere in the game. Ratings, ranks and results have no cash value and can’t be bought, sold or traded. Don’t use the game for betting or gambling.
• Online play is a beta test. Things will break; accounts, ratings, match records and the leaderboard may be reset; and any part of the online service may change, pause or stop at any time, with or without notice. The offline apps keep working on your device.
• All teams, players and grounds are fictional. We’re an independent project, not connected with any cricket board, league, competition or player.

2. Your account

• Online play needs an Open Premier account, made with Sign in with X. You must be allowed to use X (X requires you to be at least 13) and old enough to accept these terms where you live, or have your parent’s or guardian’s permission.
• In India, online play is only for people aged 18 or over; a parent’s or guardian’s permission isn’t enough. When you choose Sign in with X from India, you’ll first be asked to confirm that you’re 18 or over, and you must only confirm if that’s true. Offline and solo play stay open to everyone, in India too: the store apps and the web game’s solo modes need no account.
• Your name online is your X username. Keep your X account secure: you’re responsible for what’s done with your account.
• One person, one account. Don’t share, sell or transfer accounts.
• X’s own terms apply to your X account. If X suspends it, you may lose access to online play.

3. Play fair

Online, the server is the referee. You agree not to:

• cheat: use modified game clients, bots, scripts, macros or automation; tamper with timing, inputs or network traffic; or exploit bugs (please report them instead);
• manipulate ranked: lose on purpose or let someone win, play yourself or a friend on another account, use several accounts, or arrange results;
• abuse other players: harassment, hate, threats, sexual content or spam, including through your username;
• impersonate anyone, including us;
• attack or overload our services: probe them for weaknesses, flood them with requests, scrape them, get around rate limits, bans or cooldowns, or access data that isn’t yours;
• break the law or anyone’s rights.

Ranked fair play. Ranked follows fixed rules that the server applies automatically. For example: players on the same network aren’t paired, and their matches aren’t rated; the fourth and later matches between the same two players within 7 days aren’t rated; leaving a match or not turning up loses it and brings a ranked cooldown (5 minutes, then 15, then 60 within 24 hours); and implausible timing earns fair-play strikes. We may correct or reset ratings and results that cheating or bugs have affected.

4. If you break these terms

Depending on how serious it is, we may make matches unrated, reset your rating, take you off the leaderboard, suspend or ban you from online play, or close your account. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you why, and you can ask us to review it at support@openpremier.app. You can stop playing at any time, and delete your account at https://id.wagmi11.com/delete.

5. Open-source licences and trademarks

• The game’s code is licensed under the MIT or Apache-2.0 licence, at your option. The online game server and the sign-in service are licensed under AGPL-3.0-or-later. Our original art, audio and documentation are licensed under CC-BY-4.0. Fonts are under the SIL Open Font License, and third-party components under their own licences, all listed in the game under Settings → Credits & Licences.
• These terms don’t limit anything those licences let you do with the code and assets. They govern your use of our services: the servers, accounts and websites we run.
• “Open Premier”, “Open Premier Sports”, “Open Premier Cricket”, “OP Cricket”, the stumps-and-ball logo and the app icons are our trademarks. The licences above don’t cover them. If you distribute a modified version, it must use a different name, logo and icons.

6. What we show other players

Online, we show your username, rating and results to other players, as described in the Privacy Policy. You allow us to display them so we can run the game.

7. App stores

If you got the app from an app store, that store’s terms also apply. For apps from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies alongside these terms, and Apple isn’t responsible for the app or its support.

8. No warranty

The game and our services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t promise that they’ll be error-free, secure or always available, or that your ratings and records will be kept.

9. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, ratings or records, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us to use the services, which is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, and disputes go to the courts there. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring claims in your local courts.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll change the effective date above and, if a change is significant, say so on openpremier.app and in the game before it takes effect. If you keep playing online after that, the new terms apply.
